Record Runner MUSIC'N

1970年代もしくは1980年代製造と思われる、あるいみ画期的なレコードプレーヤーです。33 1/3回転専用。 この愛らしい VW Type II のミニカーの様なもの自体に、レコード針とスピーカーが内蔵されており、サイドに設けられたアンテナがスイッチで、リアトランクをあけると電池にアクセスできるという、遊び心満載の商品です。

It's an amazing and fun product indeed - probably manufactured in the 1970s or 1980s. Plays only 33 1/3 rpm microgroove LPs. The player itself looks like a VW Type II minicar, but it has a record stylus under the body, and a speaker on top. The antenna which is located at the side of the body itself works as On/Off switch, and if you open the rear trunk lid, you can access to the battery - it's all fun.

あまりにも脱力系な面白さなので、動画も置いてみました。デジカメによる動画撮影なので、クオリティは低いですが、ともあれお楽しみあれ!

It's really fun to see the car running around on the vinyl - even too fun to feel exhausted. And here is a movie (the movie was taken with a digital camera, so don't complain about low quality). Enjoy!

実は、ソニー から同等の商品「ちょろっこ」が一時期販売されていたそうです (5年程前のオーディオ雑誌に載っていました) が、もしかしたらソニーの「ちょろっこ」は、この「MUSIC'N」の OEM だったのかも知れません。

According to a certain Japanese audio magazine issued five years ago, SONY once sold a similar product entitled “ちょろっこ” (pronounced as “chorokko”), which looks identical to the MUSIC'N. So SONY's chorokko may be an OEM product of MUSIC'N, but I don't know for sure.
