orange vinyl.
with original Mercury 45rpm factory sleeve.
There are some mysteries on Side-A “Rabbit's Blues” - which can be heard on this 78rpm/45rpm.
According to the Ruppli's discography, Clef 8937 has take 2 (C 477-2), but this Mercury 8937x45 has take 3 (C 477-3). Furthermore, Ruppli says Mercury MG C-111 has C 476-1 (with the name of “You Blew Out The Flame In My Heart”) which is the very same tune as “Rabbit's Blues”.
However, the CD box PROPERBOX 58 (released by Proper Music label) has different data - it says C 477-2 is on MG C-111.
Are C 476-1 and C 477-2 same take? Is Ruppli's data incorrect? Or Proper Music is in the wrong? If you have information, please let me know.
UPDATE (Aug. 25, 2004): after a discussion with Seya-san, we have concluded that the Ruppli's info is probably in the wrong - 8937 (78rpm) and 8937 (45rpm) both have C 477-3, while MG C-111 has C 477-2.
