Inside The Groove
A legendary trumpeter's happy and relaxed session.
Personal Impression (and brief notes)
Taft Jordan, definitely one of the legendary trumpeters in the early era of Jazz emerging. He played as a member of such famous big band as Chick Webb, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and many more.
This is Taft Jordan's only leader album left on Mercury label. Since all tracks are played as a quintet form, we can fully enjoy the fascinating trumpet of Taft Jordan - some played straight, some played with a mute.
Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)
7 out of 10
