Comments

MG-35000 is maybe a renumbered release of MG VOL.8.

Inside The Groove

The 1st album featuring JATP live in September 27 1947 (other tunes on the date are included in VOL.9) and VOL.10).

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

The stars on this 1947 sessions are definitely Illinois Jacquet and Flip Philips. Both blows and honks so great. Howard McGhee also plays excellent with hi-tones.

Both sides feature the jam tune entitled “Perdido”, while Vol.9 has “Mordido”, Vol.10 “Endido”.

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

9 out of 10
