Some of the tunes are also available on EP-1-6127.
Jun. 06, 2004: replaced with the perfect mint copy of the first pressing (YMG MF1 A1 imprints on both sides). My old copy had YMG matrix with MF1 suffix (and A1 mother/stamper imprint) on Side-A, while Side-B had MG matrix with MF2 suffix (and A2 mother/stamper imprint). Also the cover had medium tape residue on both seams, as well as “Collector's Series” sticker on the back cover.
(my old copy's back cover with “Collector's Series” sticker on the bottom-right)
Inside The Groove
Two of the famous Dixielanders' nice sessions from original Keynote recordings.
Personal Impression (and brief notes)
This compilation consists of two different sessions both recorded in the middle-1940s: eight by Irving Prestopnick (famous clarinet player better known as “Fazola”), and four by George Hartman (Louisiana trumpet player).
Full of exitements and emotions. Great Dixieland sessions.
Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)
7 out of 10
