SIDE-B YMG36034B MF1    A2    I

Comments

One of the very early pressing - YMG MF1 matrix on both sides, silver rim label, and blue-back cover. However, my another copy (also YMG MF1 matrix but no silver rim on the label) has earlier stamper number (more precisely, it don't have any stamper number on Side-B, which probably indicate it was pressed from the very first stamper). Silver-Ring copy was released after the No-Silver-Ring copy? Or second stamper (A2) was used prior to first stamper (A1 or none) by a certain reason? We have to investigate further.

Inside The Groove

Mister Vibraphonist Hampton's nice mainstream session at Paris, from original French Barclay recording.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

A companion release of MG-36035 - swings, swings swings. Awesome work. Although we wish the rhythm section should play much better, the total sound presented here is nothing but awesome. Very swingy and relaxed session within mainstream style.

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

8 out of 10
