Inside The Groove

A nice modern violinjazz recording at Paris, from original French Blue Star recording.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

Stephane Grappelly, one of the most important and legendary Jazz player of violin, is very famous as his era of the Quintet of the Hot Club of France. The supreme collaboration with Django Reinhardt was definitely one of the best Jazz performances in the Europe.

This album, original recorded for French Blue Star label, captures Stephane Grappelly's another fine performance in his 1950s. Listen to his unique improvisations heard on all tracks - the Grappelly style. And this album also proves the quintet format is probably the one Stephane has long loved best.

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

7 out of 10
