Comments
FR pressing: sound/press quality is nice.
“Released in cooperation with the Pye group of companies” on the label - Is this an original Pye recording?
ADDITIONAL INFO: according to a message from Mr. Ron Penndorf of Recollections:
The Hallé Orchestra sessions with John Barbirolli were recorded
simultaneously by Pye and Mercury. British law at the time required that
British musicians be recorded by British technicians. Bob Auger was the Pye
engineer and later went on to produce some Mercury-like records for Pye.
Ron
Ron-san, thank you for the information!
