Comments

Equivalent release: EmArcy SRE-66009 (stereo).

This disc is mid-1960s pressing, and it rather sounds dull (especially tenor sound).

Inside The Groove

US 1st issue of original German Philips recording.

Heart-warming but also stylish-driving jazzy mood.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

Klaus Doldinger, best known as a fusion-oriented tenor saxophonist in the 1970s, started his carrer as a modern jazz player.

This album, recorded in Germany, 1965, is a good rendition of South-American music such as Bossa Nova and Folklore. To our recent years, the sound presented here is very attractive and stylish. Especailly the acoustic guitar sound by Attila Zoller and stylish piano background by Engfried Hoffman are fascinating.

Although the sound quality is inferior than my expectation (I'd like to listen to the original German Philips LP), the music is very lovable. I like this album.

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

7 out of 10
