Comments
The label doesn't have DG (deep-groove) - possibly pressed at Columbia label's plant.
Inside The Groove
Britain's greatest pop diva Dusty Springfield's first full LP (from original UK Philips recording), featuring her huge hit “I Only Want To Be With You”.
Personal Impression (and brief notes)
Dusty Springfield (Mary O'Brien) was a member of a British folk trio The Springfields and made a certain amount of success. However, when Motown sounds impacted Dusty, she decided to leave the band. Then her another career as a solo singer started. Her soulful singing impacted on the US market, and she was successful before the Beatles' British Invasion.
Most tracks on this LP are Phil Spector-like sounds with soulful voices, which are so fascinating.
Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)
8 out of 10
