Comments

with original Philips inner sleeve.

German original issue was entitled “Jazz Made In Germany” (Philips Twen [G] P 48 024 L).

Inside The Groove

German tenor saxophonist (but later became much famous as a movie soundtrack composer) Klaus Doldinger's fine quartet session, from original German Philips recordings.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

Klaus Doldinger, later became so famous as a movie/TV soundtrack composer, once was a nice tenor saxophone player in the German Jazz scene. His first LP was “Bossa Nova” (1962), and this quartet session was his second LP album.

All tracks features Ingfried Hoffman's soulful Hammond organ which is sensitive and discrete. Listen to the soulful interpretations of A-4 “Well You Needn't”, a famous Thelonious Monk's composition!

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

8 out of 10
