Comments

with original Mercury inner sleeve.

Inside The Groove

An orchestra with strings, but very swingy. Arrangements done by Quincy Jones, from original French Barclay recordings.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

“Remarkable because of the union of the mood music magic of French maestro Eddie Barclay and the famed-for-his-jazz-arrangements Quincy Jones, Seattle-born ex-Basie sideman”, as the liner note says. Actually it swings better than I expected, but after all it's “mood” music.

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

4 out of 10
