Comments

Equivalent release: Mercury MG-50054 (mono), but the “1812 Overture” was different recording from 1954 session.

FR pressing: the disc can deliver superb stereophonic sound with rich and sharp atmosphere - far better than later RFR pressing copy indeed!

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

Too famous Mercury Living Presence album. Actually in the early stereo era, this album was so popular with great stereophonic presentation, as well as overdubbed sounds of bronze cannons and church bells. Maybe the best seller among all Mercury Living Presence titles.

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

8 out of 10
