Comments

Equivalent release: Mercury MG-50122 (mono).

FR pressing: Ka-boom! Unreal dynamics. Full of transiency, dynamic sonics, tight and solid bass sound, as well as sharp and crisp mid-high range. Great stereophonic soundstage.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

Interesting orchestral arrangements of two famous opera.

Le Coq d'Or Suite by RIMSKY-KORSAKOV - (歌劇「金鶏」組曲 in Japanese) - I don't even know the actual opera, but continuous melodious motions and sudden sonic booms are very interesting to listen to.

Polovtsian Dances from “Prince Igor” by BORODIN - (歌劇「イーゴリ公」より「だったん人の踊り」 in Japanese) - another opera I haven't seen yet. Oriental melodies with chorus are refreshing and interesting.

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

8 out of 10
