Equivalent release: Mercury MG-50443 (mono).
with original Mercury inner sleeve.
RFR pressing: this is not the earliest RFR-1 copy. And the album sounds like it was mastered using a sort of equalizers.
Bernard Krainis is no famous in Japan, but at least in the U.S. he was one of the distinguished recorder players. He was a co-founder, former associate director and recorder soloist of the New York Pro Musica. He was also one of the original faculty members and performers with the Aston Magna music festival. His repertoire mainly concentrated on the works from the 17th and 18th centuries.
On this album, Bernard Krainis plays concertos by Vivaldi, Hendel and Teleman, with the London Strings. All performances sounds so attractive, although this copy is not the best-sounding one.
