SRM-1-653: Super Dude I / Don Covay
Commentsa cut-out hole on the jacket Inside The GrooveMr. Don Covay's funky funky stuffs. Personal Impression (and brief notes)Maybe one of his most impressive album of his Mercury era in the 1970's. His lightweight funky tunes like "Overtime Man", "I Stayed Away Too Long", etc. are cool, while melodious ballad songs are also inevitable. Speaking of funny cover versions of R&B classics, "Memphis" (Tenessee) and "Money (That's What I Want)", few "Soul" are there, but I like their funky pretty arrangements. Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)9 out of 10 Track Listing
