Inside The Groove
Tubby Hayes' return visit to the US, featuring Roland Kirk and James Moody.
Personal Impression (and brief notes)
Tubby Hayes, Roland Kirk and James Moody - unlike these names suggests, this album is not a sort of "tenor battle jam". Instead, the whole atmosphere is very relaxed and smooth - even featuring Tubby Hayes' vibraphone on several tunes.
The last track, a three ballad medley featuring Moody, Hayes and Kirk respectively, is a nice example for making comparisons among three.
Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)
8 out of 10
