“The Unique” Les McCann's first album on Limelight label.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

Les McCann, much known as his one-and-only soulful piano stylings, already show his fascination on this 1st album on Limelight label.

Rhythm section (Vicor Gaskin on bass, Paul Humphrey on drums) are very steady as well as pulsive, and Les McCann plays a very soulful series of piano - a nice session.

On the booklet inside the gatefold cover, we can enjoy reading how the session was made - the interaction among the producer Jack Tracy, the leader Les McCann, his pals and even his friends in the studio.
