Inside The Groove

The famous Doo-Wop group's second album on Mercury.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

The Del Vikings, formed in 1955 and one of the oldest hit makers with a “Doo-Wop” style, has a true classic hitter “Come Go With Me”, released in 1956 from Dot label. Shortly after, they split into two groups, the Dell-Vikings and the (Mercury) Del Vikings, due to several complicated matters. The Mercury Del Vikings left two albums: MG-20314 and MG-20353. Unfortunately both groups, including (Mercury) Del Vikings, didn't come to reach the top of the chart again.

Anyway this album holds even a portion of the finest examples of a good-old Doo-Wop style.

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

8 out of 10
