Comments

Equivalent release: Mercury SR-60075 (stereo).

Jacket cover slightly discoloured, with top & bottom seams taped.

Inside The Groove

Fully Italian-flavoured Pre-Rock vocal trio.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

The Gaylords was formed in Detroit in the early 1950s. Actually their songs are, for us latter-day listeners, sounding like a background music at pizza parlors. But this Pre-Rock volcal group sings very fine, even if their songs might be background music. Unfortunately their songs don't get my heart still. Just sounds as “background” music though.

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

4 out of 10
