Inside The Groove

The Three Sounds' live album recorded maybe in 1964.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

Without any doubts, The Three Sounds' best performances are filed in their Blue Note albums (including Gene Harris' another side heard in their late 1960's - 1970's jazzfunk albums on Blue Note).

While they left Blue Note label (and until they came back there), they had recorded several albums on Verve, Mercury and Limelight. Here is one of them.

In this mid-1960's live performance, they always were themselves, playing funky jazz sounds. But speaking of audio fidelity, it is inferiour to Blue Note recordings.

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

6 out of 10
