Inside The Groove
Bud Powell's too famous performances, including legendary “Tempus Fugue-It”. (all contents are later included on Verve MGV-8153 “Jazz Giant”)
Personal Impression (and brief notes)
This album is a compilation from Bud Powell's 1949-1950 sessions. Four performances are in a form of piano trio, while the rest of two are piano solos.
Especially the trio performances are masterpieces without any doubts. Listen to the perfect and gruesome performances heard on A-1 and A-3 - which proves Bud Powell is one of the important modern Jazz pianist ever!
Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)
10000 (or even more) out of 10
