MGW-60003: Boogie Woogie On The 88
CommentsMGW-60003 is an original issue of EmArcy MG-36094. Inside The GrooveExceptional session for EmArcy/Wing label - Boogie Woogie piano with orchestral accompaniment. Personal Impression (and brief notes)Well this LP is exceptionally interesting to listen to - unlike other EmArcy/Wing LPs, this LP features Freddie Slack playing truly fascinating Boogie Woogie piano. Arrangements were made by Freddie Slack himself and Benny Carter. Furthermore, Thelma Gracen's vocal is featured on three tracks. She left her own leader LP as Wing MGW-60005 (later reissued as EmArcy MG-36096), but this LP was her first recording on wax. Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)8 out of 10 Track Listing
