Comments

Inside The Groove

A Broadway actress and a later Disco diva Melba Moore's (maybe) first full-length album.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

She is rather famous when the disco roamed the planet in the late 1970s. Yes it's her earliest album, released maybe in 1970, when she was starring in the Broadway musical “Purlie”.

The sound production heard in this album is a kind of Phiily-Soul-like new Soul. Whether her singing is great or not, the sound of that day is always attractive :)

It's interesting to see two Laura Nyro tunes on this album.

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

7 out of 10
