Comments

pressed by the 2nd stamper: the disc has several scratches, but playing grade is not so bad.

All tunes are also available on EP-1-6036 and EP-1-6037.

Inside The Groove

A great compilation of Earl Hines and Count Basie's session, from original Keynote recordings.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

Side-A: Kansas City 7's nice 1944 session (from Keynote recording), featuring Lester Young. A-1 thru A-3 were previously issued on Mercury as MG-25015. And A-4 is an additional tracks, which was previously available only on original Keynote 78rpm release as well as Mercury 78rpm issues.

Side-B: Another nice 1944 session (from Keynote recording), by Cozy Cole All-Stars featuring Earl Hines. A-1, A-3 and A-4 was previously available on Mercury as MG-25018 And A-2 is an additional tracks, which was previously available only on original Keynote 78rpm release as well as Mercury 78rpm issues.

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

9 out of 10
