Comments
pressed by the 2nd stamper: the disc has several scratches, but playing grade is not so bad.
All tunes are also available on EP-1-6046 and EP-1-6047.
Inside The Groove
Fine Pre-Modern Bop sessions (originally recorded by National label), as his trademark says - “Bop For The People”.
Personal Impression (and brief notes)
Charlie Ventura's most famous and greatest recording would be the legendary Pasadena Concert, which was released by Decca and GNP. But the tunes that can be heard on this EmArcy 10-inch album also represents one of his finest works. Originally released by National label (then Mercury bought National label's materials), this compilation should attract more attention to all Jazz fans. Such a nice album.
Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)
8 out of 10
