Comments

A true 1st press in near-mint condition with no seam splits, discolouration nor visible scratches.

“FREE COPY” stamp on the Side-B of the label.

All tunes are also available on EP-1-6062 and EP-1-6063.

Inside The Groove

A nice combo session by a French pianist, from original French Blue Star label.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

Bernard Peiffer came from France (to the U.S.) and left fine recordings on several labels, some as a leader, others as a sideman. But before coming to the U.S., he recorded a number of fine recordings, including this session originally on Blue Star label.

This Europian-taste ensemble (not too funky and black, but not too neat) is very interesting. A nice example of modern Jazz by a French-born pianist in the 1950s.

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

8 out of 10
