Inside The Groove

Another gorgeous banquet of various percussions from left to right.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

David Carroll, Mercury's house arranger and director, released many his own albums. They include exotic kind, percussive kind, boring easy-listening kind and many more.

Fortunately this album captures one of his most thrilling sessions, full of various percussions by thirteen musicians. His first percussion album (MG-20166 / SR-60003 “Percussion In Hi-Fi”) was also enjoyable to listen to, but in my humble opinion this “Re-Percussion” album surpasses the other album. Lots of interesting percussion sounds (and many “catchy” melodies) make us feel very very enjoyable.

A truly excellent easy-listening album indeed.

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

10 out of 10
