Fortunately I could buy a still-sealed copy. I opened the seal (wow!) and played it. The result was so excellent! Sounds so awesome on my audio.
Inside The Groove
A great collaboration of Chicago-born Jazz vocalist and a too-famous arranger.
Personal Impression (and brief notes)
Frank D'Rone, although his name is far from famous in Japan, has been always famous and well known in the United States, at least in his homeland, Chicago. BTW Chicago is a home town for Mercury Records Corporation :)
Frank D'Rone left several albums on Mercury label. This is a first LP I got. He sings so fine backed up with jazzy orchestra arranged by a famous Billy May. D'Rone sings like a kind of “Little Frank Sinatra” :) or Bobby Darin. A few exceptions are still there - they are too “mellow” for my ears though.
It's a nice LP that we can fully enjoy Mr. D'Rone's voice as well as great big-band ensemble by Billy May.
Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)
7 out of 10
