Comments
both the cover and the disc are in mintish condition,
with “Collector's Series” sticker on back.
The very first pressing of MG-36010 may have “Big Drummer” logo
on the label, but several facts also suggest the Big Drummer label
may not exist on MG-36010. I'll have to investigate on further info.
Inside The Groove
One of Billy Eckstine's compilations on EmArcy label,
all from original National recordings.
Personal Impression (and brief notes)
This 12-inch LP features Mr. B's marvellous ballads
originally recorded on National label.
Some include legendary instrumental players in the Be-Bop era,
but this album mainly concentrates on Mr.B's vocal
singing many famous standard tunes.
Anyway a good male vocal album indeed.
Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)
7 out of 10
