玉筋魚Go!Go!

この季節 (2月下旬〜3月中旬),私の実家の神戸市垂水区では玉筋魚 (いかなご) 一色になります. ちょうど 手頃なサイト があったので説明は控えますが,まあ町中こんな雰囲気になり,どの家からも釘煮の醤油の香りがしています.

Late February thru middle March is a special period every year in Tarumi, Kobe (my hometown) - so many boxes of Ikanago (Japanese sand lance, a small and slender fish) are sold here and there. Since most people living in Tarumi eat Ikanago boiled with soy sauce, every residental area in Tarumi smells boiled soy sause in this season. You can see several photos of raw Ikanago in the boxes as well as boiled Ikanago at this site (in Japanese).

というか,このページの一番下に載っている「いかなご Go! Go!」という曲 (mp3 が置いてあります),知りませんでした... 毎年 30kg 以上炊いている私の母も耳にしたことがないとのこと.しかしこれは爆笑ものです.ちょっと腹が痛くなってきた.

BTW I didn't know the campaign song “Ikanago Go! Go!” (mp3 file can be found at the above site). My mother, who boils over 30kgs of Ikanago every year, even didn't know that song she said on the phone. Anyway this song is really funny... I laughed at the song too much.
