Inside The Groove
A moody and mellow ensemble by Mulligan with strings.
Personal Impression (and brief notes)
Backed up with a too mellow strings arrangements, this album's first impression may be a kind of “easy-listening”. But also, actually not too bad as a “Jazz” : Mulligan plays a slow, earnest, mellow barritone saxophone, but overall full of swingy moods.
Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)
7 out of 10
