Side-A of this album was recorded in 1945. This session was the first Mercury recording for Erroll Garner. Also, this was the first Jazz recording by Mercury label (Mercury was founded in 1945!).

Side-B contains two trio sessions recorded in 1946. Surprisingly, Erroll had already built his own unique style.
