MG C-101: Charlie Parker With Strings

[Front Cover] Label Type : black/silver Mercury type A
Matrix Number : SIDE-A MG 35010A
SIDE-B MG 35010A - 1 - 3X

Comments

Judgine from matrix imprints, MG C-101 is a reissue of MG-35010.

Later reissued as MG C-501.

Previous (maybe original) owner wrote “5” over “1” on the back cover - I don't know why.

Inside The Groove

Charlie Parker's one of the best-selling “with strings” session.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

All Jazz fans know the music of the genius Charlie Parker - no more words are needed to explain here. A True Genius.

Here is another example of how the Bird can sing, fly and dance. Although the background ensemble is strings, the greatness of his own alto never be spoiled - he was always the Bird.

A beautiful album (although the sound quality on this 10-inch LP is not the best).

Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)

9 out of 10
