SR-61171: The Soul Goes On / Jerry Butler
Commentsmarking pen writing on the back side of the cover. Inside The GrooveMr. Dream Merchant's nice cover album of famous Soul hits. Personal Impression (and brief notes)The concept is rather easy, but his mellow and soulful singing is not so bad. The selection may suggest Jerry Butler's own personal tastes and flavours. We can easily notice that there are so many Otis Redding and Sam Cooke tunes featured on this album. The tune A-1 is one of the earliest work by Jerry Butler with legendary Gamble & Huff. This great combination will come into bloom on such great albums like SR-61198 and SR-61234. Another interesting tune would be B-1, a joined effort with Bobby Womack. Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)7 out of 10 Track Listing
