梅木美代志さん (ナンシー梅木さん) (1929年 5月 8日〜2007年 8月28日)は， 戦後国内でジャズシンガーとして活躍後 1955年に渡米し Mercury と契約， 自己名義で 5枚の 45rpm シングルと 2枚の LP をリリースしました． その他 再発廉価編集盤 LP が 1枚ある他， Various のコンピレーション LP 1枚に収録されています．

中でも最も知られているのが，梅木さん御本人も出演され アカデミー助演女優賞を受賞した映画 「Sayonara」 のテーマ曲としてリリースされ，ヒットした表題曲 “Sayonara” (Irving Berlin 作曲) でしょう (未確認ですが，当時 RCA Victor からリリースされたサントラ LP 収録の表題曲では， 同じく出演された高 美以子さんが歌っているそうです)． ただし，Mercury で録音された Sayonara には同名異曲でもう 1曲あり， 梅木さんの 1st アルバム (MG-20165) に収録された “Sayonara (The Japanese Farewell Song)” は上述のものとは別の曲です．
