Mercury Label Variations

Black/Silver Mercury C Variations

This type of label was used for 12-inch STEREO LP issues except Classical “Living Presence” series. The label's background colour is black, and all printing is in silver colour.

Being different from Black/Silver Mercury type B, a big “STEREO” is printed on the top.

Black/Silver Mercury C (Stereo)	Black/Silver Mercury C1 (Stereo)
This type is maybe the earliest Black/Silver Mercury type C. “STEREO” printed on top, a bigger double-oval Mercury logo just below, and a catalogue number printed just above “LONG PLAYING HIGH FIDELITY” print.	This type is maybe the most popular Black/Silver Mercury type C. A catalogue number is printed to the left side of the spindle hole, and a smaller double-oval Mercury logo has “RECORDS” printed between two ovals.

Black/Silver Mercury C2 (Stereo)	Black/Silver Mercury C3 (Stereo)
This Stereo Label is slightly different. Fonts are narrower, and record number has suffix -A or -B.	This is similar to Black/Silver Mercury type C1, except a small “VENDOR: MERCURY RECORD CORPORATION” printed between big “STEREO” and a Mercury double-oval logo.
