Black/Silver Mercury B Variations

This type of label was used for 12-inch LP series except Classical “Living Presence” series. The label's background colour is black, and all printing is in silver colour.

Being different from Black/Silver Mercury type A, a double-oval Mercury logo is printed to the above of the spindle hole.

Black/Silver Mercury B1 (Mono)
(Large Oval Mercury Logo, with reissue mark)

When Mercury's Stereo issues began, a big round-shape Mercury Logo was placed on a label. This design is for monaural issues.
(MG-20473)
You may notice three parallel lines like “III” again printed on the label (this parallel line also appears on the back sleeve).
This “III” maybe indicates that it is re-issue in the late 1950s or early 1960s.

Black/Silver Mercury B2 (Mono)
(Small Oval Mercury Logo)
Black/Silver Mercury B3 (Mono)
(Small Oval Mercury Logo, VENDOR on the top)
[Black/Silver Mercury B2] [Black/Silver Mercury B3]
This is similar to type B,
but smaller Mercury's double-oval logo on the top.
(MG-20673)
This is similar to type B2,
but “VENDOR: MERCURY RECORD CORPORATION” is printed around the top of the label. (MG-20879)
