Benton's Blues singing with orchestra in the slow mood.

Personal Impression (and brief notes)

Can we say such kind of music as “Blues” now? ... I don't know, But anyway Brook Benton sings many blues favourites on this “Singing the Blues” album.

It's not Chicago style, Louisianna style, New Orleans style, nor very traditional folk blues style. Backed up with smooth, melodious and lazy arranged Orchestra (conducted by Luchi DeJesus), Benton sings so mellow as he always is. All famous tunes are in different arrangements (from well-known original recordings of each songs), and it's all great as if all songs are initially written for Benton.
