Comments
Jun. 06, 2004: replaced with earlier pressing (same matrix information, but has silver rim on the label). My old copy had the very same matrix imprints on both sides, but the label didn't have silver rim. Furthermore, Side-A was badly pressed with foggy look.

Inside The Groove
A great West-Coast style modern jazz recording with thrilling arrangements: eight tunes from MG-26024 10-inch, plus four extra tunes.
Personal Impression (and brief notes)
A-3 thru A-6, and B-3 thru B-6 are originally issued as MG-26024 (1954 recording). The newcomers are A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2, recorded in 1955. Again, these four tunes are well arranged and much thrilling, and they show smooth consistency with 1954 sessions.
Strictly Personal Rating (to what extent I could enjoy this album)
9 out of 10

Personnel
Personnel/recorded date/master numbers confirmed with the Ruppli's discography.
(“The Mercury Labels - A Discography” by Ruppli and Novitsky, Greenwood Press, 1993)
Liner-notes on the back side of the cover says Bob Gordon (bs) took part in this 1955 recording, but the Ruppli disco don't. Actually we can hear the sound of baritone sax on these tunes.
Furthermore, Liner-notes says the piano player is Lorraine Geller, but the Ruppli disco (as well as EMS-2-406) says Ian Bernard.
