Personal Impression (and brief notes)

The Devine Sarah Vaughan can sing any songs, lyrics and melodies at the premium level. As a matter of fact, on this corny and too moody album, Sarah's marvelous voice can be heard on every track. However, all tracks have very similar arrangements (in very slow tempo, too pop, too moody orchestra with strings) and listeners may feel sometimes boring. Anyway, the title track “Close To You” would be the best tune on this album.
