Sonny Clark Trio (Time S-2101)

先月、都内の某中古レコード店の壁に “Sonny Clark Trio” (Time T-70010) のオリジナル LP が飾ってあるのを見ましたが、そのプライスタグを見てびっくり。なんと 30万円。ひぇぇぇ。

Last month I visited a certain vinyl shop in Tokyo and found the original mono LP of “Sonny Clark Trio” (Time T-70010). The most surprising thing was its price – 300 thousand yen (approximately 2,600 USD) – oh my!

ヴィンテージ盤の売価なんて、需要と供給で決まる側面が基本ではあるものの、大抵は お店の言い値 であることがほとんどで、こんな凄い値段がついていても、買う人は買ってしまうところが凄いというか。とにかく、私の様な「コストパフォーマンス重視」の一般ピープル (笑) には全く縁のない世界ではあります。

Usually, a price of a hard-to-find vintage LP is roughly set by the “supply and demand” balance. Also, the price is also usually set by a shop’s own decision. And it’s also surprising that there are some people surely to exist who buy such LPs even though it’s too expensive against “reasonable price”. Anyway I (as one of “ordinary people” who makes much of “cost-performance”) must be a perfect stranger to such an expensive vintage LP.
