I once posted the article on “Mary Had A Little Lamb” 78 rpm by Willie Bryant (“Cross Patch” on the flipside) – I love both sides so much, and while I was looking for other versions of those songs, I just encountered the Fats Waller version of “Cross Patch” and I was captured by this beautifully melancholic and charming performance. It was just a few weeks ago when I finally got the original 78 rpm version.

以前、ウィリー・ブライアント (Willie Bryant) のSP盤「Mary Had A Little Lamb」（A面は「Cross Patch」）について 記事 を載せたことがありました。両面とも大好きなのですが、その時に、他のミュージシャンによる両曲の演奏にはどんなものがあるんやろう、といろいろ探していたときに、ファッツ・ウォーラー (Fats Waller) バージョンの「Cross Patch」に出会い、そのあまりの美しさとメランコリックでいてかわいらしい演奏に魅了されました。つい先日、やっとSP盤で入手することができました。
