本記事では、HumminGuru (HG01) / HumminGuru NOVA (HG05) をお持ちの方向けに、新しく登場したウォーター・ディスペンサに 2万円出す価値があるかどうかを、実際に使ってみた印象とともに書いてみます。
In this article, aimed at owners of HumminGuru (HG01) and HumminGuru NOVA (HG05), I’ll share my impression of the newly released Water Dispenser (HG011) and look at whether it’s really worth spending around JPY 20,000 on it.

Affordability of HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaner / お手頃価格の超音波レコードクリーナ
比較的廉価な超音波レコードクリーナとして、初代 HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaner (HG01) が Kickstarter に登場 し、実際に 出荷開始された のは 2021年のことでした。
As a relatively affordable ultrasonic record cleaner, the original HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaner (HG01) first launched on Kickstarter, and it actually started shipping in 2021.

発表された当時、「超音波洗浄と乾燥まで自動で行えて、しかも比較的お手頃」ということで、かなり話題になりましたし、私も即座に Kickstarter 上で pledge しました（笑）
When it was first announced, it drew a lot of attention as a machine that could handle both ultrasonic cleaning and drying automatically while still being relatively affordable — and I immediately pledged for it on Kickstarter (of course!).
それまでにもさまざまな超音波レコードクリーナ製品がありました。
Of course, there had already been several ultrasonic record cleaning machines before HumminGuru came along.
例えば、2019年にエストニアから登場した Degritter は当初 $3200、当時の為替レートでは50万円くらいだったでしょうか。現行モデルは正規輸入されており、99万円というプライスタグがついています。
For example, the Degritter from Estonia, introduced in 2019, was originally priced at US$3,200 — roughly JPY 500,000 at the exchange rate at the time. The current model is officially imported into Japan and now carries a price tag of JPY 990,000.

2013年に登場した KLAUDiO CLN-LP200 は70万円程度で販売されていました。現在はディスコンとなっていますが、Degritter と並び「高嶺の花」でした。
Introduced in 2013, the KLAUDiO CLN-LP200 sold for around JPY 700,000. It has since been discontinued, but together with the Degritter it was very much a high-end, aspirational product.
また、2018年に登場した Kirmuss Audio KA-RC-1 は 25万円前後で現在も販売されています。
Later, the Kirmuss Audio KA-RC-1, released in 2018, came in at around JPY 250,000 and is still available today.

それらに比べると、Kickstarter に登場した当時の HumminGuru のプレッジ価格は 4万円弱、2025年現在のレートでも7万円弱ということで、かなりお手頃感のある価格です。
Compared to those machines, the original Kickstarter pledge price for the HumminGuru was just under JPY 40,000, and even at today’s (2025) exchange rate it’s still just under JPY 70,000, which feels very reasonably priced.
これだけ価格が異なる高級機とお手頃な HumminGuru の間には、価格にみあう性能差、はたまた信頼性の差があるのかもしれません。しかし、我が家で導入して以降、特に大きな問題も起こらず、愚直にレコードをクリーニングし続けてくれている、自分にとって信頼できる機器です。
Given such a big gap in price between those high-end models and the more affordable HumminGuru, there may well be differences in performance or long-term reliability that reflect that. However, since bringing it into my system at home, it has kept quietly and faithfully cleaning records without any major issues, and has proven to be a machine I personally trust.
その後、性能を増し改良が施された HumminGuru NOVA Advanced Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaner (HG05) が 2024年に登場、為替レートの関係もあってか、値段は10万円強と上がりましたが、すぐ購入しました。
Later on, the upgraded and refined HumminGuru NOVA Advanced Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaner (HG05) arrived in 2024. Partly due to exchange rates, the price rose to a little over JPY 100,000, but I still went ahead and bought it right away.
Cleaning “Spiro World / Time Wharp” (Leaving Records LR, 2022) with HumminGuru Nova
初号機の HumminGuru (HG01) は、知人に廉価でお譲りし、現在は HumminGuru NOVA (HG05) が我が家でせっせと活躍してくれています。
I eventually passed my first HumminGuru (HG01) on to a friend at a modest price, and these days it’s the HumminGuru NOVA (HG05) that’s working hard in my system at home.
Pouring Water Manually into the Basin / 手動での給水
HumminGuru 初号機 (HG01) と HumminGuru NOVA (HG05) に共通するのは、超音波クリーニング開始前に ウォータータンクにたまった精製水を手動で注ぎ入れる必要があることです。もちろん、超音波クリーニング終了後の排水は自動で行われるのですが。
One thing the first HumminGuru (HG01) and the HumminGuru NOVA (HG05) have in common is that, before you start ultrasonic cleaning, you have to manually pour the distilled water stored in the water tank into the basin. Of course, draining the water after the ultrasonic cleaning cycle is completed is handled automatically.
より高価な超音波レコードクリーナでは給水が自動になっているものもあります。そこを あえて給水を手動にすることで、HumminGuru の価格を比較的抑えているのでしょう。
Some of the more expensive ultrasonic record cleaning machines automate the filling of the water basin. By deliberately leaving the filling step manual, HumminGuru has likely been able to keep its price relatively low.
しかし、手動給水による不便もあります。ウォータータンクのふたの密閉性があまり高くないためか、注ぎ入れるときに、横や縁から水が少し漏れてしまいます。慣れるとあまり気にならないのですが、連続して何枚もレコードをクリーニングする際、若干気を使うところではあります。
That said, manual filling does come with its inconveniences. Perhaps because the lid of the water tank doesn’t seal all that tightly, a bit of water tends to leak out from the sides or the rim when you pour. Once you get used to it, it’s not a huge problem, but when you’re cleaning several records in a row, it is something you have to pay a bit of attention to.
特に、中古レコードを数枚クリーニングしたあとには、微細な汚れが排水に混ざりだします。給水時、ウォータータンクのフィルタで濾すわけですが、このフィルタの汚れが徐々にたまってくると、なかなか給水が終わりません。結果として、縁からの水漏れの発生頻度もあがってしまう、というわけです。
This becomes especially noticeable after you’ve cleaned a few used records, when fine debris starts to mix into the wastewater. During refilling, that water is passed through a filter in the water tank, but as that filter gradually clogs up, the filling process takes longer and longer. As a result, the frequency of water spilling over the rim tends to increase.
HumminGuru NOVA (HG05) では、こぼれないように、注ぎ入れる時用のじょうごも付属するなど、対策がとられていますが、ウォータータンクからの漏れはやはり根本的に解決しているとはいえません。
With the HumminGuru NOVA (HG05), they’ve added some measures such as including a funnel to help you pour without spilling. Even so, it’s hard to say that the issue of leakage from the water tank has been fundamentally solved.
Water Dispenser for HumminGuru (and NOVA) / アドオン製品登場
そんなとき、HumminGuru から、ウォータータンクから電動（充電式バッテリ）で水を注いでくれるアドオン機器「HumminGuru Water Dispenser (HG011)」の登場がアナウンスされました。2025年11月26日に販売開始、というメールが届いて知りました。
Just then, HumminGuru announced a new add‑on device called the HumminGuru Water Dispenser (HG011), which uses an electric, rechargeable battery to pump water from the tank. I learned about it from an email announcing that sales would start on November 26, 2025.
水を電動で注ぐだけのパーツに2万円、というのは、正直少し悩みました。
Paying roughly JPY 20,000 for a part that only pours water electrically was something I honestly hesitated over.

ただ、これをオプションで用意したことで、超高価な製品と比較可能になったのは大きいなぁ、という感想です
あと、ガジェット好きとしては、いらないけど欲しいというか使ってみたいなぁ、という欲が（笑）
ですが、これにより、HumminGuru の数少ない懸念点である「水をこぼす心配なくウォータータンクの水を安心に注げる」という点に強く興味を持ったこと、そしてガジェット好きとしての好奇心が勝ったこと（笑）、そんな理由もあって、意を決してポチってみることにしました。
However, the idea of being able to pour water from the tank into the basin without worrying about spills addressed one of the few remaining concerns I had with HumminGuru. Combined with my gadget‑lover curiosity winning out (laughs), those reasons pushed me to finally decide to go ahead and order it.

HumminGuru 本体と同様の箱から取り出すと、発泡スチロール製緩衝材に手厚く保護された本体とパーツが現れます。
Taking it out of the box — which is the same style as the one used for the main HumminGuru unit — you find the main body and accessories well protected by generous Styrofoam cushioning.

ウォータータンクは従来のものより大型化しています。元々は、HumminGuru 本体にすっぽり収納される寸法（最大400ml）でしたが、今回は給水ユニットが接続される部分にまで拡大し、結果として 最大 650ml となっています。また、手による給水からユニット給水に変わったことにあわせて、汚れを取るフィルタの設置位置も変更されています。容量が増えたことで、タンク内の水の汚れの蓄積を遅らせることができそうです。
The water tank is larger than the previous version. The original tank was sized to fit entirely inside the HumminGuru main unit (with a maximum capacity of 400 ml), but this new one extends out to the area where the dispenser unit connects, giving it a total capacity of up to 650 ml. The position of the filter that traps debris has also been changed to match the switch from manual pouring to unit-assisted filling. Thanks to the increased capacity, it should take longer for dirt to build up in the tank water.
HumminGuru HG011 Water Tank
HumminGuru 本体への設置は、比較的自明で、給水ユニットを大型化したウォータータンク上にカチっとはめられるようになっています。給水ユニットを外す際には、両側面にあるボタンを2つ同時に押しながら上にあげると、ロックが外れてスムーズに外せます。
Installing it on the HumminGuru main unit is fairly straightforward: the dispenser module simply clicks into place on top of the enlarged water tank. To remove the dispenser, you press the two buttons on either side at the same time and lift it up, which releases the lock and lets you take it off smoothly.
給水ユニット上部には「コントロールパネル」と名付けられた3つのボタンがあります。左から「350ml給水」（10インチ/12インチレコード用）「400ml給水」（7インチレコード用）、そして「手動給水」（押している間だけ給水できる）となっています。
On top of the dispenser unit there are three buttons collectively labeled as the control panel. From left to right, they are “350 ml fill” (for 10-inch / 12-inch records), “400 ml fill” (for 7-inch records), and “manual fill” (which pumps water only while you keep the button pressed).
私は、比較的レーベルスレスレのデッドワックス部分まで超音波洗浄したい方なので（笑）、12インチレコードでも400ml以上入れています。
Since I like to ultrasonically clean right into the deadwax area, almost up to the edge of the label (laughs), I usually use more than 400 ml even for 12-inch records.
給水ユニット (HG011) を HumminGuru NOVA (HG05) 本体に取り付けると、このようになります。実際にレコードを洗浄する際には、ウォーターパイプが邪魔になりますので、パイプがくるっと回せるようになっており、ウォーターパイプと洗浄中のレコードとの干渉を防げます。
This is what it looks like with the Water Dispenser unit (HG011) mounted on the HumminGuru NOVA (HG05) main unit. When you’re actually cleaning records, the water pipe would otherwise get in the way, so it’s designed to swivel around, preventing the pipe from interfering with the record while it’s being cleaned.

実際の給水の様子を以下の動画にしておきました。ユニット上の 400ml ボタンを押して給水開始してから終了するまで、25秒前後というところでしょうか。
I’ve put together the video below to show what the actual filling process looks like. From pressing the 400 ml button on the unit to the point where filling finishes, it takes roughly around 25 seconds.

ユニットにはゴムカバーで保護された USB-C ポートがあり、ここからバッテリ充電できるようになっています。内蔵バッテリは 4000mAh です。この容量で最大何回給水できるのか、は実験していないので分かりませんが、レコードを1枚超音波洗浄する1サイクルが最低でも5分かかります。つまり、ひっきりなしにレコード洗浄しても5分に1回しか給水しないことを考えれば、十分すぎると考えられます。
The unit has a USB-C port protected by a rubber cover, which is used to charge the internal battery. The built-in battery is rated at 4,000 mAh. I haven’t tested how many fills you can get from a full charge, but a single ultrasonic cleaning cycle for one record takes at least five minutes. In other words, even if you’re cleaning records back-to-back, you only need to fill once every five minutes or so, so this capacity should be more than sufficient.
Conclusion / 結論
ウォータータンクの洗浄水を、超音波クリーナ本体にボタン1つで給水できる。しかも、手動のときのようにこぼしてしまう心配がいらなくなる。これが最大の利点です。
Being able to transfer the wash water from the tank into the ultrasonic cleaner itself at the press of a single button — and doing so without the risk of spills that comes with manual filling — is the biggest advantage of this unit.
この利便性のためだけに、追加で HK$1,090.00（2025年12月時点では約21,750円）+ 送料を出せるか。これは、個々人の好みや価値観に依存するため、一概には言えないところです。
Whether this level of convenience alone justifies spending an additional HK$1,090.00 (about JPY 21,750 as of Dec. 2025) plus shipping really depends on each person’s priorities and sense of value, so it’s hard to give a one-size-fits-all answer.
いずれにせよ、初代 HumminGuru (HG01) あるいは HumminGuru NOVA (HG05) をより便利にするアドオン機器であることは間違いありません。特に初代 HumminGuru とセットで買う場合、他社のより高価な超音波レコードクリーナと比較しても、まだ割安感が感じられ、個人的にはおすすめだと思います。
In any case, there’s no doubt that it’s an add-on that makes the original HumminGuru (HG01) and the HumminGuru NOVA (HG05) more convenient to use. Especially if you buy it together with the first-generation HumminGuru, it still feels reasonably priced compared to other, more expensive ultrasonic record cleaners, and I can personally recommend it.
