Universal Music Japan が，(旧日本ポリドール，旧日本フォノグラムの頃から) 久しぶりに LP 再発 を行います．2004年12月22日リリース，全20タイトルです．

Universal Music Japan will release 20 famous Jazz titles in LP format on December 22, 2004. It will be a long time since Nippon Polydor and Nippon Phonogram (both labels were the predecessors of Universal Music Japan) released LPs last.

今回の再発の目玉は，そのタイトル群ではなく (もちろん，どれも Impulse, Verve, EmArcy, Philips レーベルなどの著名な人気盤であることは間違いないです)，オリジナル・アナログ・カッティング・マスターを使用してニューヨークにて現地カッティング という点でしょう．カッティングエンジニアは Joseph M. Palamaccio さんだそうです．さる有力筋からの情報によると，音質的にもかなり期待できるとのこと．

The most remarkable point is not each title itself (of course all titles in the series include very famous masterpieces from Impulse, Verve, EmArcy, Philips labels), but that all titles were cut in the US using original analogue master tapes. The cutting engineer for this reissue series is Joseph M. Palamaccio. According to a certain influential person's note, this series will provide very nice sounds which will surely convince audiophiles.

やっと発見して入手しました． Chikuzen Presents Cornerstones (のジャケット) の元ネタ：

オーディオファイル向けに，過去の名盤や注目の新譜の丁寧な LP リイシューをコンスタントに行ってくれている Classic Records レーベルが， あの “Jimi Hendrix Live at Woodstock” を 200g QUIEX SV-P LP 3枚組 でリリースしました． 私ももちろん CD は持っていますが，この LP リリースも購入予定です．

The famous Classic Records label - constantly releases high-quality pressings of historical masterpiece albums (and some LP releases of recent titles) which have been highly acclaimed - is releasing a 200g QUIEX SV-P LP 3LP box edition of THAT album “Jimi Hendrix Live at Woodstock”. Of course I have this great album in CD format, but I am planning to buy this LP release too.

オーディオファイル向け LP/CD オンラインショップの Acoustic Sounds Inc. の web で，あの Eddie Kramer へのインタビューが公開されています．インタビューは，Classic Records レーベルのオーナー Michael Hobson さんによって行われたものです．

And along that LP release, Acoustic Sounds Inc., an on-line LP/CD shop specially for audiophiles, is now making an interview with Eddie Kramer public. The interview was done by Michael Hobson, an owner of Classic Records label.
