3年程前にここに載せた記事 を最近読み返していました。そこでは私の所有している 2枚 (両方とも Liberty プレス、1枚は黒/青 Blue Note / Liberty レーベル、もう 1枚は青白 Blue Note Liberty レーベル。共に手書きマトリクス、VAN GELDER 刻印あり) と、bop-gun さんのお持ちの 1枚 (レーベル、マトリクスは不明) の計 3枚とも、A-1 “Rakin’ And Scrapin’” の冒頭、テーマ部分終了直前に針飛びする箇所があり、しかもその針飛びはまったく同じ箇所。スタンパー (あるいはそれ以前から) の不良によるものではないか、当時プレスされた盤はすべてこの不思議なスキップに見舞われるのではないか、という話になっていました。

The other day I was reading back an article I posted here almost three years ago. And on that article I noticed strange skip on A-1 “Rakin’ And Scrapin’” (which occurs just the ending of the theme presentation and just before the improvisations). I have two copies, one with Black/Blue Blue Note / Liberty label, the other with Blue/White Blue Note label (Liberty), both with handwritten matrix as well as VAN GELDER imprints on the dead wax area. Also, bop-gun-san confirmed that his copy (label and matrix details unknown) also has skipping part on A-1. We confirmed that the skip interestingly occured on the very same part. So we concluded like this – it was probable that this skip was due to inappropriate stamper (or mother, or even lacquer), and all first pressings are suffered from this strange skip.

しかし、たかが 3枚のサンプルだけで結論を出すのは少々早いかもしれません。というわけで、もし BST-84340 (最近の再発は除く) をお持ちの方がいらっしゃいましたら、針飛びの有無をチェックして、報告して頂けないでしょうか。どうぞよろしくお願い致します。

But only three samples might not be enough for the conclusion. So if you own copies of BST-84340 (except recent LP reissues), check your copy if it has skipping part on A-1.
