Microgroove War May Be Settled Soon

　I have introduced various old record catalogues in my previous articles (see “Old Record Catalogues” articles, Part 1, 2, 3, and 4, although they are currently written only in Japanese), and some articles also featured qutations from disc reviews and ads on Down Beat magazine back issues which I have. Actually it’s always fun and interesting to read from pages to pages, ads to ads, reviews to reviews – such magazines and newspapers of many many years ago still delivers atmosphere of that era, working like “time capsules” of when Jazz was one of the driving forces in the Popular music. Other than that, they are full of invaluable information which is very useful for discographic purpose.

EDIROL R-09

MusicMaster.jp にて 「EDIROL“R-09”プレゼント・トラックバックキャンペーン」というのをやっているらしい。 手のひらサイズのコンパクトさ。ディジタル入力はないものの、入力は内蔵マイク、ステレオミニマイクプラグ、ステレオミニプラグを備え、手軽にディジタル録音が出来るというのは、かなり魅力的。出力はディジタルでも出せるんですね。SD カード経由でも、USB 経由でも、コンピュータとやりとりできるというのもよさげ。かなりいろんな使い方でできそう。 個人的には、お外での生録用というよりは、うちにある SP (78回転) 音源のディジタル化に使ってみたいところ。うちにある USB オーディオ入力機器が故障中なもんで . . . オートゲインコントロール付とのことですが、これをオフにしてマニュアルで録音レベルコントロールは可能なんでしょうかね。それだけがちょっと気になりますが . . . ってスペックをみるとちゃんと出来るみたいですね。…
