早朝テニス が終わり帰宅後、ふと思い立ち、自転車に乗って 三条のイノダってコーヒー屋へ、じゃなくて、 吉祥寺の いせや本店 に行ってきました。昼飯がてら。

背中を若干まるめつつ、立ち飲みコーナーに佇む、ヤニで髭が茶色くなった 高田渡 さんを見かけることはもちろんもうできませんが、25年振りに吉祥寺を訪れたという隣の年輩のご夫婦と談笑しつつ、焼酎呑みながらたらふく食いました。そして会計を済ませたあと、自転車を押しながら桜が満開の井の頭恩賜公園へ。

もうあれから2週間も経ってしまいました。 先日最終回を迎えた 音楽夢くらぶ (NHK)。 その3月16日放送分に HIS が出演してから。

楽曲と演奏のあまりの素晴らしさに TV の前で涙を流してから、もう 2週間も経ってしまいました。

この Intro レーベルって、あのハリウッドの Intro ですよね? Aladdin レーベルの傍系レーベルで、Jazz ファンには Art Pepper の大名盤 “Modern Art” で知られる、あの Intro レーベル。 ところがこのレーベルは本来はカントリー専用レーベルだったんですね。

This Intro label is the same as that Intro label, which was a subsidiary of Aladdin label, and Art Pepper's legendary “Modern Art” is famous among Jazz listeners. However, the Intro label was originally aimed for Country & Western music...

何をいまさら、と思われるかも知れませんが、もう2ヶ月程 “Frank Sinatra” にゾッコン状態が続いています。

V.A. 特集 第3回 から随分間があいてしまいました。今回は、レーベルの枠も越えて出された Various ものの中で特に興味深いリリースを紹介します。 あの Playboy 誌の企画から生まれた 2枚組です。

It's been a while since I posted V.A. Pt. 3 article. Here is the fourth article being focused on Sampler LPs and Various Artists album, but it's a bit different - an interesting double LP album which was derived from Playboy magazine.

え〜，buzzy-bee さんの Record Collect Errors? を補追するこの企画 (?)、 前回の 初期 Reprise レーベル (1968年頃まで) に続き、 第2回は 初期 Capitol レーベル 編 (1962年頃まで) をお届けいたします。

Well, this is a second attempt to contribute some information to the fantastic web site Record Collect Errors? by buzzy-bee san. Preceded by the early Reprise label, this second information here deals with Capitol label's design variations in its early era (up to early 1960s).

Rock 系のコレクターにはお馴染み、 buzzy-bee さんによる秀逸なサイト Record Collect Errors? は、各レーベルのデザイン変遷を丹念に調べていくという everlasting project ですが、 2006年 2月25日時点で buzzy-bee さんのところで抜けている情報を中心に、 レーベルデザインの変遷を本稿にまとめてみました。 buzzy-bee さんのサイトに merge して頂ければ幸いです。

まずは 初期 Reprise レーベル (1968年まで) から。 現在もう1つ、某レーベルの分も準備中です。 続編 (?) の初期 Capitol レーベル編は こちら からどうぞ。

The fantastic web site Record Collect Errors? is an impressive and everlasting project which tries to keep track of many labels' design variations headed by buzzy-bee-san. And here is a first step of my contribution to the project (hope this information will be merged into the buzzy-bee-san's web site). The first information here is on Reprise label's design variations in its early era (up to 1968).
