この Intro レーベルって、あのハリウッドの Intro ですよね? Aladdin レーベルの傍系レーベルで、Jazz ファンには Art Pepper の大名盤 “Modern Art” で知られる、あの Intro レーベル。 ところがこのレーベルは本来はカントリー専用レーベルだったんですね。

え〜，buzzy-bee さんの Record Collect Errors? を補追するこの企画 (?)、 前回の 初期 Reprise レーベル (1968年頃まで) に続き、 第2回は 初期 Capitol レーベル 編 (1962年頃まで) をお届けいたします。
Well, this is a second attempt to contribute some information to the fantastic web site Record Collect Errors? by buzzy-bee san. Preceded by the early Reprise label, this second information here deals with Capitol label’s design variations in its early era (up to early 1960s).

Rock 系のコレクターにはお馴染み、 buzzy-bee さんによる秀逸なサイト Record Collect Errors? は、各レーベルのデザイン変遷を丹念に調べていくという everlasting project ですが、 2006年 2月25日時点で buzzy-bee さんのところで抜けている情報を中心に、 レーベルデザインの変遷を本稿にまとめてみました。 buzzy-bee さんのサイトに merge して頂ければ幸いです。
まずは 初期 Reprise レーベル (1968年まで) から。 現在もう1つ、某レーベルの分も準備中です。 続編 (?) の初期 Capitol レーベル編は こちら からどうぞ。
The fantastic web site Record Collect Errors? is an impressive and everlasting project which tries to keep track of many labels’ design variations headed by buzzy-bee-san. And here is a first step of my contribution to the project (hope this information will be merged into the buzzy-bee-san’s web site). The first information here is on Reprise label’s design variations in its early era (up to 1968).

SP コレクターの大先輩 瀬谷さん 経由の情報です。 なんと、この 2006年という年に新譜 SP (限定盤) がリリースされました! カトリーナ被害救済の為のリリースだそうです。
Here is a nice information from a great Japanese 78rpm collector Seya-san – a limited number of brand new 78rpm release is now available in the year 2006! (with proceeds going to the New Orleans Habitat for Humanity Musicians Village Project)
1953年設立の Bethlehem レーベルでも SP リリースがあったんですね。それだけで思わず買ってしまった一枚です。ま、どのレーベルも 1955年〜1956年くらいまではドーナツ盤と並行して SP リリースを続けていた様ですので、あって当然なのかもしれませんが。
Even the Bethlehem label (established in 1953) had 78rpm releases! I was delighted to find the copy and immediately bought it. Well, as a matter of fact, most labels released 78rpms (along with 45rpm singles) until 1955 or 1956, so it is very natural that Bethlehem released 78rpms in its early period.

相変わらず A3 スキャナ復旧の見込みがたたないので (涙)、もひとつ小咄を。
先日買い取りに出した多数の OJC LP 達。その時 OJC 以外にも、手元にあるダブり盤 (より状態の良い盤や、より初期のプレスが入手できたもの達) も一緒に売りに出していました。300円から10,000円まで、玉石混合の買い取り価格でしたが、その中に一枚、「え、500円の間違いちゃうの? なんでそんなに高い値段で買い取ってくれるの?」という盤がありました。
