Going To The Movies with The Jerome Richardson Quintet
ジェロム・リチャードソン (Jerome Richardson) さんの隠れ名盤(?)、1962年録音の United Artists 盤ですが、これがカッチョいいんでかなりお気に入りです。レス・スパン (Les Spann) さんとの絡みも最高。

ELENCO レーベルの10枚目 ME-10 は、ナラ・レオン (Nara Leão) のデビューアルバム。いわゆる「ボッサ・ノーヴァ」らしからぬ芯の強い曲調とアレンジ、しかし時折見せる暖かく柔らかい人間味、両者が緊張感あるバランスで成立しているという、かなり硬派な仕上がりのアルバムです。

その後 My World Fell Down c/w Libra / Sagittarius (Columbia 4-44163) を無事入手、やっと NHK FM で聴いたシングルバージョンを聴くことができましたが、入手した盤から出てきた音はあまり芳しくなく。Nuggets の CD で聴いた方がいいかも（笑）

ELENCO レーベルの2枚目 ME-2 は、ルシオ・アルヴェス (Lúcio Alves) の大名盤。全曲ホベルト・メネスカル (Roberto Menescal) 作曲、ホナルド・ボスコリ (Ronaldo Bôscoli) 作詞、ネルソン・リドル アレンジのフランク・シナトラ盤を彷彿とさせるゴージャスな作品です。

穐吉 (秋吉) 敏子 さんが1971年に Dan レーベルに残したカルテット編成のアルバム「Meditation」です。1976年に再発された際には、ジャケットが変えられ、ミックスもより聴きやすい定位にやり直され、ノーカット完全版や別テイクでの収録となっており、こちらも必聴です。
